How much ice costs: prices by bag, thermo box and kilogram
Here is what ice costs at Ledu.lv depending on the format: a bag, a thermo box with cubes or crushed ice, ice by the kilogram and blocks. We also cover delivery, pickup and payment terms so you can work out the total cost in advance.
Ice price by bag, thermo box and kilogram
The simplest way to buy a small amount of ice is a 10 kg bag of ice cubes for 6.30 € incl. VAT. If the ice needs to stay solid longer, a thermo box is the better choice: 13.5 kg of cubes in a thermo box costs from 8.50 € for companies, and 28.50 € for private customers (this already includes the box deposit, more on that below). Crushed ice, 15 kg in a thermo box, costs from 10.50 € or 30.50 € respectively. For larger volumes, such as a garden party or cooling a large surface, ice blocks are the better value: 3.25 € per kilogram regardless of size. There is no minimum order, so you can order exactly the amount you need.
What the thermo box deposit covers
A thermo box is reusable insulated packaging, so private customers pay a 20 € deposit for it: that amount is already included in the 28.50 € and 30.50 € prices. Companies with regular deliveries do not pay a deposit, since the box is returned at the next delivery. We refund the deposit within 5 working days after the empty box is returned to our production site at Jēkabpils iela 12, Riga.
Delivery and pickup cost
Delivery in Riga and its suburbs costs 10 € per visit, whatever the order size. Jūrmala is covered on request, and for the rest of Latvia our manager agrees a price individually based on distance and volume. Self-pickup from our production site at Jēkabpils iela 12 until 16:00 is free, but we do not accept cash or cards on site, so the order must be paid in advance. Read more about zones and timing on our delivery page.
How to pay
For delivery in Riga and its suburbs, and for pickup, you can pay immediately by card online when you check out. Other orders are paid by invoice and bank transfer. All prices in the shop already include 21% VAT. If you are not sure how much ice you will need, our guide on how much ice you need with a calculator can help.
